Having worked first hand for over 5 years with the Bee Gees songs, John wanted to make an album that would cast a completely contemporary slant on these great tracks. He wanted to do it using artists who were not shackled by their own Recording deals with Majors.
This allowed the creative freedom to be able to record these tracks in a style that was free and unhindered by established interpretation.
